European Parliament, 28.9.2023, event: “The future of Artificial Intelligence: How AI will change our lives.” Rythmisis President Maria-Oraiozili Koutsoupia participated with a contribution on: Artificial Intelligence Act and Healthcare, an interaction with major legal and real-life implications. In a panel full of AI experts and bright scientists, there was the opportunity to discuss about the European proposal on AI and the important role the AI Act play on preparing the ground for EU innovators, both in life sciences and broadly. Sandboxes, classification, interplay with other EU regulations (MDR and GDPR) and -of course- non-compliance sanctions were some of the key points discussed, as well as the preparedness of Greece to implement the changes to come.
