It deals with the modern world of digital information that has naturally affected the legal framework of its management, with the use of new technology and information systems in public administration and in particular Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). For electronic public administration, in particular, (e-government), a number of bibliographic references can be found both in the national and European legal fields, as it is a constantly evolving issue and linked to the globalization of the economy and information, and ultimately to the electronic democracy, which serves the improvement of administrative structures and their integration into a modern context of eliminating problems that plagued both them and the governed (e.g. developed bureaucracy).
In Greece, a significant integration in digital public administration was achieved with the legislative act of 20.03.2020 “Legislative Act of 20.03.2020 Urgent measures to address the consequences of the risk of spreading the COVID-19 coronavirus, to support society and entrepreneurship and to ensure the smooth functioning of the market and public administration” (Government Gazette A’ 68/20-03-2020), which introduced regulations for digital operation and addressing urgent needs of public administration.
